What are the PRT techniques?


Education: Learning that pain, while real, can be generated or amplified by the brain's overreaction to harmless signals, creating a neuroplastic pain loop


Somatic Tracking: Paying curious, non-judgmental attention to painful sensations as neutral body signals, rather than threats, to de-escalate the fear response.


Safety Messages: Using self-talk to reassure the brain, like "I am safe," "This is just a signal," or "This will pass".
